I talked with the man from the state athletic commission today, so here is how it goes I am doing 9 fights on Dec 9th,
I need
2 fighters who do KUNG FU and can fight each other
2 mui Thai guys
2 Full Contact Karate
2 Kick boxers
and any one else who would like to fight in our warrior challenge for charity,

it is, but is not mma - pancrase is leagle in NY but mma is not, so is shoot fighting it is just buy definition two guys from different martial arts cannot fight so the mma bouts are for say demos sort of still judged still champion belts but only demos

a welterweight 170
a middle weight 185
a light heavyweight 195

I am working on the hotel & stuff, can't promise but can try, also I am trying to sweeten the prizes a bit, my first martial arts show, (I've done boxing before) but if you guys are interested pm me names, weights & snail mail adresses I will send you forms.

I know it seems far in advance but dec 9th is 6 months away I want to give guys time to train as well as get some names for promotion, this will be a fun and different event, and its all for a great cause thank you for your intrest, and I appologize if it seems like i'm spamming not my intent at all!

Do we get to bang the ring girls before or after the fights? after I might be too beat up to do it, well, if I fight a wrestler or karate guy I wont be tired, but a BJJ guy might tire me out a bit, so lets bang the ring girls first just to make sure, Ill take the one between 1 and 6 lol

Anyway the fights will be about 1/2 hour outside Albany NY the price will only be the $25 for the background check to ensure you have never competed professionally (ISCF) and I may even be able to get that waived since I am working with the Marines and it is for charity.

I cannot have professional bouts or else the athletic commision must be involved
so it is purely an amature show! I know very little about Karate/ Kung - fu or Kenpo so I am looking for some-one to give me the name of the full contact styles in each art, when I was a kid there was PKA karate wich was similar to kickboxing so please I am asking for knowledge, also for MMA equivilent bouts
(The word MMA or ultimate cannot be used in New YorK I am looking for a style name that is close to UFC but not MMA Shoot fighting is copyrighted so we can't use that does Vale Tudo allow strikes? it is leagal in NY so is submission grappling and several others so give me a term to plug on the poster.

Lastly I am having the ring made for this event, so tell me the minimum size ring you have fought in, currently my design would be 20 X 20 and 16' inside the ropes. with a 1 1/2" resilite surface any other thoughts.

and on a serious note if two of you guys are masters level at the same style, and close enough in weight to fight I will put you on the card it will save me some work.

I would help ya out but that's too far and I'm too young. But I do think it's awesome that there are other christians in Martial Arts, there's a huge controversy about it.

yes there is some, I do mma, boxing and wrestling so it is even worse on my end. Becoming a pastor takes a lot of hard work, and I tell everyone it was the discipline I learned from Boxing that enabled me to be a deans list undergraduate and a summa Cum Larde gradute student.

If more Christians had the work ethic of the guys on the ultimate fighter the world would be a better place.

It is also key to note that many of the most avid early christians, even during the Nero era of persacution were the best wrestlers, Gladiators and soilders that Rome had, there is a song called 100 men for Jesus that is about a group of early wrestlers. Lastly Paul clearly uses the analogy of both a Boxer buffeting his body and a wrestler struggling to mirrior the christian experience, don't ever let some idiot tell you christians are weak, meek is not weak.
