What do you all think about learning more than one martial art at a time? for instance, studying jeet kun do and BJJ at the same time? should u concentrate your efforts on just one martial art or is it advantageous to learn two so you can combine and take the best from each?

I think it would be a good idea to study both. BJJ for grappling and JKD for standup.

Bruce Lee's first style was Wing Chun then he developed Jeet Kune Do for more pratical applications. It would be a waste of your time to learn two stand up styles that over-lap each other that much. If you are thinking about a job as a cop you need to concentrate more on Ju-Jitsu type skills with joint locking because...
Lets say you want to move an agressive suspect somewhere Are you going to box with him everytime you need to move him? Haha not unless you want a lawsuit! You are going to get him in a joint lock so that you can safely escort him so he doesn't hurt himself or you.

I personally train in two styles, JKD and GJJ and also practiced the Filipino Art for about 3 years. I don't believe there is one perfect style and so it is necessary to train in various systems if you want to be effective in all ranges.
