Does the UFC need a senior division? Instead of all these great over 40 fighters retiring or getting shellacked by young fighters; should the UFC institue an over 40 division? How about over 50? Would it help the fan base? I think so. Personally I don't think over 40 fighters should be forced to retire because they can no long beat or keep up with the 30 somethings? Any comments?

I think alot of the fighters would out of pride still fight in the under 40 division regardless of age. I mean could you honestly see Ken Shamrock accepting an over 40 fight? Alot of the fighters from that era (not all but alot) have ego issues and I think they would rather retire then enter an over 40 division. The whole point of alot of them still fighting is to "prove" they can keep up with the younger guys.
What do you guys think? Do you think any of them would even fight in an over 40 division? |

Money talks..............good example Shamrock VS. Coulture. It would also bring out a lot of decent fighters who don't have the big name.
