Towards the end of the fight those throws didnt work. Diego would just slip out of them and take his back or get on top. Did you guys see the first 30 seconds when Diego double legged him, Karo got into guard and Diego just crawled up him into mount? That was crazy as hell.

Diego also knocked out Karo's tooth with that knee in the 3rd round. I think one of my favorite fighters now is him.......He was relentless.

I agree, you gotta luv the guys style, all out and very good at whatever position he is in. Awesome ground game, and the tooth was great !!! Karos throws were A+++++ but Diegos too good on the ground to give up position after being thrown, way too good.

Great point, he gave up the good position after the throw, Diego is just too good all around. He didn't look weak in ANY area last night... Sent Karo to the dentist, that's for sure... I am seriously impressed and I can't wait to watch Diego fight again... I CAN'T WAIT to see him fight Hughes... that will be interesting to say the least....

Man that whole event was fantastic....anyone else see Diego slip out the guard and take his back...also the armdrag to back was amazing...the Judo throws were first class and the tooth flying was awesome.Honestly though Riggs took the cake for me....Extremely impressive.Lister def underestimated Sasaki...he is an ok opponent but honestly no where near the level of the other Japanese fighters in the mw div....watch out for Yushin Okami at ufc 62...if he was fighting Lister...he would of been KO'ed easily after being so gassed like that.

Diego's going to be the Wanderlei of UFC, in the sense that they go balls to the wall right off the bat and don't seem to get tired. Karo's throws were truly superb but once he got into the third round Diego was waaaaay too slippery for him to effectively throw him. Still, wonderful job by both fighters.

Oh and about the finger to the ref, my friends and I think that the ref was asking him to give him a sign that he's alright and so he flicked him off, he got tapped 3 seconds later though hehe.

my fav part of fight night was when chris leben was sayin how he hates it when he goes to into starbucks, and the guy giving him coffee tries to tell him how he should have fought lol. that was great. i think it applies to a lot of us here, talking smack about people who actually have the balls to get in a ring and fight while we are sitting behind our computer desks wishing we were real martial artists, and finishing off another soda and bag of chips.

Speak for yourself on that one bub (while shapening adamantium claws) I'm a real ma guy, but yes there is a bit too much I could have done it better than this guy b.s. on here, in fact most of the top level ufc/contender/T.U.F. peolpe I've actualy seen train or trained with have usually been a dissapointment to me when watching them on t.v. It just goes to show us that there's alot of dojo myopia going on. Like Glamrock said I've seen guys lose because someone says this guy is so tough ect. LOL

I don't think it's the fact the contenders suck, but more because some people tend to not perform to their highest potential in competitions, I don't know what exactly the reason is but I kinda have the same problem too.

Leben is a turd, horrible for the sport. No martial arts background ,just some wrestling and wild punching and brain dead stragtegy. He's the reason they play that pounding mindless death metal music on the ads for the MMA fights, so people think its mindless cavemen style fighting in the arena/cage., and they see that guy and it confirms their curiosity. Foul mouthed, no education, bad temper, metal case, i wouldnt pay a dime to see that turd fight, thankfully, no one had to last time
