This isn't an ad...
I've tried many supplements over the years that claim to help with various aspects of training. Many of them can cost $50/bottle and many of them also say that it takes 4-6 weeks to see results, so too much experimenting can get expensive. They all have charts in their ads to "prove it", but that doesn't mean anything. I bought accelerade at my local GNC. A tub of it was $45, not cheap, but it was highly recommended in an unbiased magazine I'd read. It only has 13 g of protien for the suggested two scoops, but it has other stuff to help re-nourish your body after the workout and speed up recovery. It's supposed to be taken after activity. I did it after a session of sprints and a leg workout with weights. I really pushed myself with the weights and normally, I would have been very sore for at least a couple days after. But the next morning I only woke up with minor soreness, even went to bjj class in the evening. So, it's not a miracle, but if you're bothered by post training soreness, give this a try and see if it helps. It's one of the few supplements I've tried that actually did what it claimed it would. |
