There can be many things that can cause your problem. Do you have any martial art background? If not then you could be hitting the bag wrong. Also if you hit the bag too much it is not good for you as well. When you are hitting the bag it should move a little bit back and forth. If not then your bag is too heavy. You should always use gloves on your bag unless it is one of those crappy Wavemaster bags. They are good for nothing.

its one of those stationary ones that you fill with water..
nope.. no martial arts background wait why do i have to use gloves? i mean you cant use gloves if you fight someone, and im pretty sure their face/ ribs/ watever is gonna be tougher that the bag.. if i use gloves ima break my knuckles if i actually hit someone |

Your chance of breaking a hand in a fight is pretty good because you do not have proper punching technique since you have no martial art background. Punching is not that difficult. Look up boxing techniques, how to throw punches with proper fist and using of waist and having proper form.

Why should you wear gloves? Youre right, if you were in a real fight you wouldnt, but you also wouldnt strike your dude 5000 times or whatever you say. And every fight Ive ever been in resulted in either a broken finger/s, or bloody hands. So nothing is out of the ordinary.

i tear the skin on my lower or middle knuckles when i do alot of bag work. i think the reason i do it is because when i get tired i start getting sloppy. i know its not because i don't know how to punch because i boxed for several years. i think it is just from sloppy punches after getting tired. maybe this is happening to you also? just a thought.

I dont know much about punching form. I just punch the way I punch. I had a heavy bag in my basement that I try to hit every now and again just for the hell of it. I wear some MMA gloves that I bought and I use these wraps that came with them. My hands are usually a little sore but never bleed. Id suggest using something like that. Really light MMA gloves.

i personally punching with gloves makes your hands more prone to injury if you really have to hit someone |
