As you have asked for an opinion on the MMA forum;

its two martial artists fighting for real. its real interesting. enjoy and lets discuss.....

I take it that they are friends, as they were clearly not fighting with any comittment or power.

Individual technique's looked OK'ish, but no combinations, no set-ups and no attempt to take-down or go to the floor. Had this been 'real' MMA with those style of kicks the guys would not have lasted more than about half a minute.

This looks more like a tae kwon do fight with very little sub attempts. There were no combos or even punches thrown. It was all kicks. Like juicefree said, it looked like they weren't going 100%.

those guys are from the Wolfpak, a gang of beach thugs that monitor pipeline and northshore and keep assholes off the beach and out of the water. And yes, they are all well trained in BJJ,, their leader is Kai Garcia, a BJJ black belt and BJJ instructor. There are several videos of these guys fucking people up on the beaches. Ruthless and tough mofo's. Kata Alexader is the other main dude. If u can get the april 2005 copy of ESPn magazine you can read about these guys.

they dont bully, they just keep things clean and orderly. its dangerous in the big surf and you get these idiots that come out there and drop in and dont wait their turn or have respect for the locals, so they need to be taught the way it is. they seem to be good guys but dont cross them thats all,. far as i can tell,. try to find that ESPN magazine article about them its awesome

kinda, but the guy was warned multiple times. he was disrupting a surf competition that he wasnt even in, and after being asked to leave by multiple people he refused. and after the altercation in the water, you clearly see the guy coming back for more.

im not from hawaii and even i know that you dont interfere with the locals and their waves, especiall on north shore owahu. its a guranteed ass beating. you will get your board taken away or broken as well. i dont think the locals mind you surfing there as long as you are respectful to them. its their home, not the tourists.

they showed that guy kala on a mtv surf documentary once. they show him fighting another tourist on the beach who was being disrespectful, and i remember noticing he was a martial artist because he low kicks this guy 3 times in a row muay thai style, then gets on the guys back and applies a rear naked choke. it was dope.

if u look at kalas face, u can see that his nose has been smashed before. he's a tough guy.

Yea i saw that too, the guy was pretty big too. Kala did a few years in prison for beating some dude senseless who was speeding through his neighborhood and hit Kalas pitbull and killed it, the guy drove off and Kala got in his car and chased the guy and beat him to a pulp
