Smoking pot does not make someone cool; Rockson was not a pot head! Like many things he did, he controlled his smoking before it controlled him. Please show some respect. I wish you could go to Rickson's school and say those things.

I've been off-line for several days, so I saw the "it might be true" and confirmation on the same day. Truly shocking. As a father, I know there can be no greater tragedy. The transcends MMA.

My prayers are with Rickson, Kim, and to those who loved Rockson. May God comfort you during this time of great trial, and may you be comforted by the great love and support that are being shown by those around you.

Details may come in time, but let's all respect the moment, and give our respect and prayers to the family.

Rockson was a great martial artist, and his father is a legend; but right now let's just respect a loving father who lost his oldest son.

I made a post in the JKD forum before I looked here, asking if there was any creedence to the rumor of Rockson's death. Although I can't say I've ever been lucky enough to be close to the Gracie family, my heart goes out to them, and especially to Rickson. And on the off chance that he or someone close to him is reading, there is a whole world of support out here for you. And although it may seem pretty small compared to the ache that comes with losing a family member, I'm sure each of us is really pulling for you.

Being a father myself if anything like that happened to my son they would have to bury me with him.

The fact that this many people speak so well of Rockson just shows also what great parents Rickson & Kim were to him. It's nice that somebody as iconic as Rickson can pull off what's an even tougher job: fatherhood.

None of this makes sense, but it never does. All you can do is put your heart out to them. I hope they can someday move beyond this... they'll all be reunited again someday. I truly believe that.

It appears today (February,14) on O GLOBO the biggest Neewspaper in Brazil:

Rockson Gracie Body Was Found in a $5,00 Hotel.

In the text it says that the body was found in a Small hotel in Manhattan, called Providence, on Bowery Street 125, near Chinatown and Little Italy.
It says that in no more than 2 weeks the cause of the death will be discovered (sorry for the bad english).
Renzo found the body on February,9. 2 months after the death. The body was on City Burial, where they send the bodys without indentification to be bury
My sentiments to Rickson.
