![]() | Good. I was sick of seeing his name around the time of big events. Is matchmaking that difficult of a profession that someone is even necessary in that position? I think they could go quite far getting recommendations from former champs like the Shamrocks, Ruas, Coleman, etc. I believe Piretti was the matchmaker for Extreme I, which was a really wierd event that didn't turn out the way he expected it. He was totally expecting Sperry to blow through the competition which didn't quite happen. The Carlson Gracie jr-John Lewis fight was also quite a bore for a fight that happened at the time of exciting fights that pitted an expert grappler against a clueless striker. And then I heard they tried to pressure Ralph to fight Carlson and even threatened Ralph about this. All in all, Piretti was being totally biased to the Carlson Gracie team by trying to let Ralph, Carlson, Sperry, and Conan just cruise through their opponents and he didn't even do a good job with that. |
