I can see the obvious advantage to having the Tapered one ... but is there some reason why I should get the Standard?

kabutons are cool. that tapered end is quite painful when applied to bones. easily break through ribs. that tapered end will work real well against someones exposed back, skull, organs etc. it can open and break flesh as well as bones. its also a nice punch loader. its a real underestimated weapon. dont carry it with a bunch of keys though like most people think you should. just keep it in your back or front pocket with nothing attached, like its a pen. the usefulness of this tool is greatly amplified by people who have good hand skills, like boxers for example. i recommend the style of the blue metal one in the picture. take the ring off of it though.
