Can Aikido stylist really throw people around like that?

I wonder what would have happened if those attackers had thrown more strikes at Seagal?

I wish my Judo/GJJ randori partners would "attack" me like that, just straight up run at me at 50 miles an hour. I, too, would be able to spar and tap out multiple guys at one time. 1 vs 2? 1 vs 3?? NO PROBLEM.

In all honesty, Seagal should be given respect for his dedication to aikido. But that's it, though, just in AIKIDO. I remember reading some article where he bullied some stuntmen on a movie set claiming he could "take apart any man in 3 seconds with aikido", and those stunment were good friends with "Judo" Gene LeBell. Yeah, Seagal got his ass handed to him, literally. Twice. And he pissed in his pants lol.

I use to idolize Seagal when I was a kid, but after some growing up and watching some E! documentary on him, he's an asshole in real life. Now I don't respect him as much as I use to.

i want to know how hes going to do 90% of those moves with an opponet punching him with a closed fist. also chances are that when someone gets thrown like that their instincts tell them to either try something else because running full on like an idiot didnt work. get a large blunt object. i would love to see someone dodge a baseball bat. unless your incredibly weak and have no real fighting experience i dont see most of those techniques working.

I think the first "round", LeBell put Seagal in an armlock. Then Seagal assholes up and says he wasn't ready. So LeBell just chokes him out, and while he was being choked unconscious, he lost his bladder control LOL. Seagal sued LeBell and if LeBell ever mentions this incident, he'd face the consequences of the law or something.

Hmm, I guess I should've been more specific about that, but it was LeBell himself who embarassed Seagal like a white belt.

He's always the "hero" in his movies and always holds the cards. Probably deep down, he knows he's a true failure at life so the only way he can escape his reality is through his films lol.

If Seagal had ANY stones, he would have stepped into the octagon. But I did hear he faught in Japan in some NHB fights, if thats true not sure. Also he was invloved with the SPecial Forces, again, Im not sure to what extent

The story I heard is that when Lebell choked him out, he shat himself.

I bet Seagal really could toss people around like that. As long as they weren't throwing strikes, just running at him, and all 110 pound guys like the ones in that clip.

this remindes me of the story of sylvester stallone filming rocky, first he got cocky & wanted to try to spar and got KO'd by joe frazier, then he figured he could try a less ranked opponent and sparred with Ernie Shavers, he say's "I thought I got hit by a truck."

A true story however, my brother who is a heavyweight boxer and was a d2 all american linebacker at Gannon University & myself before I was a christian used to work for a detective agency & we served Van Damm his divorce papers, he swore he wasn't going to be served, well he was!
