8 years ago...time flies! The rules were pancraese rules. Palm strikes were allowed to the face but not punches. Punches were allowed to the body. The part where I started yelling to punch him in the face was only because Yves opponent punched him in the face a couple times. I wanted him to do it back to send the message that he wouldn't let it go unnoticed. The guy was a lot bigger than Yves...he did a good job beating the guy.

Bas was in town that weekend with Marco Ruas. He was nice enough to help me work the corner for Yves. It turned out to be a very interesting weekend! The next day Yves and I went over to Bas & Marco's hotel to pick them up and go to Six Flags and Water World. It was a great time! The two of them constantly had "play fights" with each other. Just playing around, they were hitting each other so hard! Ouch! It was funny to see the looks on some peoples faces seeing these two monsters walking around Water World hitting each other!

That night we went out to a bar. Bas was out on the dance floor and some guy bumped his elbow into Bas' head. Bas moved away from the guy and continued dancing. The guy did it again and Bas told him (nicely) to be careful with his swinging elbows. A few minutes later the guy hit Bas in the head for the THIRD time! Bas invited him to step outside with him. It was Marco, Bas, Yves and I standing at the door waiting for him to come out. Fortunately the guy had enough sense to avoid fighting Bas!

Thanks for posting the video...I had never seen that before.

    Tim

It's a great clip of one of Houston's best fighters with our own Tim Mousel!
