i saw some tech out of a magazinethat mentions the whizzer. what is the whizzer? please explain. they were doing it to counter a single leg. thanx! later!

An example of the wizzer is when someone shoots on you, you sprawl, push his head away from you, and hook/slide your other hand under the armpit that is closest to you. Encircle/hook him at the armpit/shoulder. Once you sink it in, drive your shoulder in, to control your opponent.

The wizzer can be used to force your oponent to the mat, or if he stands into you, you can throw him really hard (I broke a guys arm once w/ this throw). A good wrestler (the wizzer is used most by wrestlers) can defend, but there are other attacks w/ the wizzer, like switching to a hard crossface, etc.

In short, the wizzer is a great move that every grappler should know.
