![]() | yesterday was my first day back on the mats after more than a year...new city, new school, but all in all its great to be rolling again. anyhow, i've been out of the bjj loop for a good while now, and yesterday the guys mentioned that rickson will be fighting sak new year's eve. one of the guys showed me on some printout that rickson will be gettting $3,000,000 for that fight. not to question my partners integrity, but its a little hard for me to believe. how true is this? details...anyone...thanks! good day guys...and ladies too of course! |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Those guys at your school dont know jack squat. Sakuraba will be fighting the new k-1 Hero's champion, Akiyama. Weeks after Sakuraba armbarred Smirnovas after getting beat down really badly, he had a MRI on his brain and he had some damage done. So thats why Saku had to pull out of the tournement in which Akiyama won. Akiyama actually TKO'd Smirnovas in the final round of the tournement(first round of the actual fight) and went on to armbar Melvin Manhoef(who had brutally KO'd a Gracie in like 40 seconds in the first round of the tournement). So on NYE, Kazushi Sakuraba will fight Judo/MMA ace, Yoshihiro Akiyama. And Rickson is way to old to be fighting. He'd get knocked out against the new breed of fighter. |
