Default Breathing

Heres something, when striking can you over breath out?
I know im probably going to answer my own question here but i've noticed on the pads when i take big breath out i lose alot of power compared to if i give it short sharp breaths, and that's with the right technique.
Is there anything behind it or is it just me?

You're right on the money as far as making the most out of your energy by breathing properly with each strike. This is something your trainers should be teaching you though; if they haven't brought it up you should ask them about it.
