What does everyone think about the descision going toward Matt Serra. Alot of people though Chris should have won. Thoughts?

It was a close fight, I actually thought they were going to give both of them contracts....but I guess they can't do that all the time.

That fight was really too close to call.

Lytle was good enough on the ground that Serra was pretty much neutralized.

But standing Lytle needed to land some good shots on Serra to walk away with it, and he didn't manage it.

I think best or at least most entertaining fight was Drago vs Scott Smith. That fight was one of the interesting fights I've seen in UFC or Pride.

Haha, yeah the drago/smith fight was awesome. Drago got robbed lol. The oldest trick in the book.(yes i know he didnt intentionally do it as a trick) Well, Lutter just dominated cote, and I missed the serra fight, but I'm glad he won.

P.S. Wasn't Bisping supposed to make his debut?

Bisping was supposed to make his debut, but he couldnt get to America due to visa Issues.

Second, while I agree that Serra should have got the nod, or it should have gone to another round...

The fact that it was 30-27, serra, 30-27, lytle, and 30-27 serra, is just ridiculous, split decisions in a fight that close should be 29-28, serra, 29-28 lytle, 29-28 serra, or something like that.

I thought that they gave Matt that fight for te simple fact that he had lytle pushed against the fence the whole time and was trying to take him down. Nothing really happend in the fight.

As much as I love Serra, I thought Lyttle was busier throughout the match and effectively stopped Matt's game plan, and because of that had narrowly won on points.

Actually, most of the match was like watching 15 minutes of isometric exercises; a lot of force and very little movement. These guys seemed to be stalemated throughout the fight - boring . Compare that match to the crazy antics of the Scott Smith - Pete Sell match; now that's entertainment!

I think Serra took that by the smallest of margins. The fight was definately slow... Matt held Chris against the cage and his takedown was negated. There were posts on other boards that Chris took Matt down 2 or three times... That was Matt pulling guard.

Damage from both fighters was almost nill... Standing Chris looked busier in the damage department... but they were all slaps... if he were using closed fist strikes, maybe it would have looked better. On the ground Chris held tight to Matt and stopped any damage what so ever. Matt did land a spinning back fist... and there were a few punches from both that landed but were of no concern.

I think Matt won because he was the aggressor the entire fight. Although he couldn't capitalize, he pushed and pushed to the end.

Drago / Smith... Ohhhh! geez! I don't know what to say. That was a good fight, I wish it would have gone longer! I was rooting for Drago (I'm a Serra student), I couldn't believe that he got caught by that punch. Smith was definately down and not looking like he was going to continue, I was thinking Drago was gonna let him stand to continue since he had him hurt.

ohhhh well!

Congrats Matt!

That left Drago threw to the body looked like it rocked Smith right in the liver, just like the shot Bernard Hopkins threw that took down De La Hoya. I couldn't believe he got that last punch off after that. That was one of the most amazing fights I've seen in a while. I wouldn't have had any idea how to score Lytle and Serra, I thought it was going to go another round.

I actually felt bad for Cote, he looked so pumped to tear Lutter's head off going into the fight and then and got submitted so quickly. He looked crushed. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to Lutter's chances against Anderson Silva?

Here's the thing. It just simply isn't in me to be sparring with a friend and applaud and high-five him whenever he nails me with a good one. It's just not in my vocabulary to encourage someone to hit me harder and take great pleasure when he batters my face and draws blood.

I'm such a nancy!
