I just read on wikapedia once again that Dana won't be allowing Liddell to fight Silva this feburary... This is fucking bullshit, the way I see it now Dana and Chuck are the biggest pussies in the sport. The only reason he doesn't want Chuck fighting Silva is cause Chuck would get his fat ass beat...

Liddel is well known in the US.

Wanderlei is a nobody compared to Liddell.

If Liddell fights Silva, they'll both come out looking good...I actually think Liddell would win, but Silva would be the #1 challenger for Liddell at this point. Which would make Silva famous here.
So next time Pride has a US event with Silva, a lot of UFC fans who dont know about Pride will know about Silva, will watch Pride, and will find out about a lot of other great fighters.

You obviously know nothing about BUSINESS. It doesn't make any sort of financial sense for Chuck Liddell to fight Wanderlei Silva right now. Wandy, like it or not, is not very well known to U.S. fans at the moment, and he's coming off a loss. Now why would the UFC want a guy who just got KTFO to be fighting their champ?

Just be patient, this fight WILL happen, just not right away. After Chuck beats Tito, and Wanderlei defends his title, maybe gets a couple wins in, then hopefully they can get together again and set up a fight. I predict this fight will happen in mid-late 2007, assuming Wanderlei doesn't lose any more fights...

SG made some good points; however, I do want to point out that Chuck has fought for Pride twice and everytime PrideFC brings people over to the US to standup in the UFC's OCtagon and proclaim they are here to challenge the UFC's best . . . well, they never follow through.

PrideFC has already shown that they don't follow through . . . you can't hate Dana for this one . . . not even a little bit.
