    Pick your styles

If you had your mind set to train for the UFC, what styles would you train in to prepare yourself?

edit - personaly I would have to go with what im training now (itf tkd/sambo) and add in some bjj/muay thai, possibly boxing/kickboxing.

pick as many as you want, within reason. Obviously you cant realy train 10 styles at once. I would say pick 2-4, but up to you =/

First of all, JKD is not an art. It is a concept.

Second of all, where is wrestling?

    My four would be:

BJJ, Muay Thai, San Shou, and Wrestling.

BJJ/Sambo for the subs. When everyone's watching out for the armbar these days you gotta come up with something new.

MT/Boxing. MT for clinch and badass kicks. boxing for hands and head movement.

Kung fu. Because everyone else does mma.

I would train in Muay Thai, boxing, BJJ, and submission wrestling. I might even toss in a little of San Shou, Sambo, and Kyokushin Karate. :P

I chose Muaythai, Sambo and other.

I chose Sambo because it has a strong wrestling influence.

I chose other to substitute as a weapons-based art.
