First off Uke this whole Thread needs to be moved to Urban Street Combat or w.e its called because thats what it was created for! talking about STREET SELF DEFENSE did you not read the thread Title: BJJ AND MMA discussion...stop bringing your Street B.S onto this forum were all sick of this crap....just like your thread before"so you think BJJ is effective for the street huh" or w.e it was.If your not going to be discussing BJJ or MMA no need to be in this forum.Second off you need to start learning some stuff before you start to spew your Garbage...Couture Boxed in the ARMY and fought a few matches as well he didnt have just a few months Boxing you moron he had YEARS.Also i can name quite a few examples of MMA fighters who ventured out into K-1 and made an impact like Quintion Rampage Jackson 2-0 2ko's in K-1 Genki Sudo 4-3 1 Ko in K-1 Kid Yamamoto 3-2 3 ko's in K-1.Mark kerr in abu dhabi Tito ortiz in abu dhabi Matt hughes in Abu dhabi Couture having a draw with Jacare possibly the best P4P grappler in the world. Then there are the K-1 guys who got wrecked by no name boxers with ease in Ray Sefo and Mighty Mo.Now dont get me wrong plenty of MMA fighters came out of MMA and got killed its just that most were B level at best and give others a bad rep.

i've read as much of the thread as i could stomach at one go which was a little over half, so forgive me if this has been brought up.
Uke, i actually agree with quite a bit you have to say (i feel like i'm going to ostricize myself saying that!) But i don't really see the point of pointing out that MMA guys get beat in K-1 or strictly grappling tournies. Maybe they are jacks of all trades and masters of none, but if you're going to bring up the SD issue, i think it's actually a much bigger folly to master one trade and neglect the others. In the realm of sports, why is it more admirable to master a smaller skillset? The rules of boxing or K-1 or bjj tournaments are more contrived than MMA rules in terms of "reality" vs sport.

The first post alone on "So you think BJJ is effective for the street" topic had generated more interest than anything you've ever written. Next, no matter what Couture might have done, he's a wrestler first and foremost as is obvious by watching the man or just looking at his record which shows how he wins most of his fights. Also, if you read what was written, you'd see that I wrote that most MMA fighters don't do well. Never said all. I applaud the fact that you took the time to give some examples. But you gave about 7 examples out of over hundreds of MMA fighters which just goes to prove what? What you wrote is the exception, not the rule. And just so you know, assholes like you were all over the urban forum. If you don't like these topics, you should learn to stay in the kiddie pool where you belong.

Looks like diplomacy (mixed with humor) is working.
Sorry jubaji, looks like its out of your hands - but as long as the net exists, there will be trolls that need a suplexing.
