Ian Freeman: Best ever?

I know Ian just started fighting NHB seriously a year or two ago
but dare I say he's the best British fighter ever?
I think so. Noone the UK has produced has ever
been able to match size, strength, technique on the ground and standing, and speed that Ian has.

I think if he had been training for 10 years already, he might be one
of the best NHB fighters ever. Plus, he's from the north of England don't you know

The rest of the world laughs at American's arrogance. All you guys seem to do is brag, I've got news for you- this behaviour is seen as obnoxious everythere but the U.S. Case in point- "The World Series", yeah right, it's a real international affair. Oh yeah, then there's the Superbowl winners being declared "World Champions" ha ha, what a frikken joke. The other night I heard a CNN reporter announce that test tube fertility treatment was invented in the U.S. WRONG! It was pioneered in the UK and the first test tube baby was born there.

Try and divert the argument all you want but the fact remains that the U.S. is full of arrogant, stupid (can't find Northern US on a globe) red-necks. Yippee, you're a superpower with the might to bomb women and children into submission. Enjoy it while you can, China will be kicking your ass enconomically and militarily in 30 years.

Dude. The British Empire ruled 60% of the world's countries at one time. It was the most powerful nation ever, followed by the Roman Empire. The U.S. has been a world force for less than 100 years, it has a long way to go. America is rich because of its size & abundant natural resources. The British Empire became the greatest empire on earth through scientific innovation and to think it is just a tiny island...


As for WWII. When jews were being massacred in Poland Britain was the only country to stand up and fight. Hundreds of thousands of brits died during the first years of the war while the U.S. maintained its isolationist policy. As for saving our asses, all of the allies contributed to the defeat of the Axis powers. However, it is true that the U.S. showed up late to the fight. I could probably win a marathon if I joined the race 1/2 a mile from the finish. If you want to debate who contributed the most to the war effort, few would dispute Alan Turing et al's effort in breaking the enigma code as being the single greatest contribution.

Thanks for the support Aloha. I meant best in Britain but I honestly
believe that if Ian Freeman had been fighting NHB for at least 10 years
now, that he'd be the best in the world. Possibly the best in the world ever.

As for Frank Bruno, he was a competent champion. When he
fought Tyson, he was past his prime. If it was still the young Bruno
it might've been a different story.

As far as Empires go, they come and go. At least we British did the most with the
littlest of resources and we had a bigger empire then anyone.
You soft Americans are nothing compared to what we accomplished.
