![]() | Im about 135lb and about 5'8-5'9 My little problem is this, can i enter somehow into more then one division?, heres why Technically my division would be children's novice(without subs, gi and no gi) with a weight class of about 130lb-180lb The thing is i want to be able to use my submissions, even more so with a weight class that big, since i feel it will be harder to get, and then keep positions rolling with someone that much heavier then me-making it hard to play for points. you guys(girls) think i should enter one skill level higher, the children's beginner(1 year and under compared to 6 months and under)-which would allow me to use subs, but ied be facing more skilled opponents. any suggestions?, experiences? |

![]() | I would say go a divison up, if you feel comfortable enough fighting at that level. If you are comfortable attacking and using submissions, then why not? Whats the worst that could happen, you lose? Big deal, youll get some good experience, roll with some new guys and have fun. Just enter the divison that best suits your comfort level and enjoy the tournament. Ill be there (my first tournament as well) in the white belt flyweight division and Im just looking at it like a chance to see how much Ive learned, not a competition |
