Tommy Morrison vs. Chuck Liddell

"Former heavyweight champ Tommy Morrison, who is training in Phoenix in a comeback attempt after testing positive for HIV 11 years ago, is ready to hit the mixed martial arts circuit. Morrison, whose scheduled bout in Houston a couple of weeks ago did not take place because of a reported delay in paperwork involving mandatory blood tests, plans to face a cage fighter, 340-pound John Stover, on June 9 at Cliff Castle Casino in northern Arizona. Eventually, Morrison says he wants to fight Ultimate Fighting Championship star Chuck Liddell. "

well. atomic tommymorrison. guess we will tell you what we would tell anyone....

before you challenge the champ, perhaps it would be in order to get some experience. start with some amateur shows, then some pro shows... your performance will dictate when your "shot" at the champ comes.

well, in any case, good luck tommymorrison.... you will need it.

I respect Morrison. He had so much potential. But at this point I seriously doubt he would be the representative of boxing we've all speculated about. Yeah, I'm sure he can still hit like a mule can kick, but there's more to it than that as we all know.

Plus, what's the rules on fighting someone with HIV. NO THANKS. MMA fights often get bloody. I know, how cold of me, the odds are so low that you'd catch it blah blah blah, still, NO THANKS.

Tommy Morrison doesnt have HIV. His latest test results confirmed that.

Anyway, Morrison could never get a shot at Liddell. He'd get beaten by any fighter in the UFC. Liddell would be smart, take him down and finish him in under 2 minutes if they ever fought.

Not ANY fighter in the UFC. He could probably beat low grade UFC fighters.

Rampage is a heavily underrated boxer, just like Chuck is an underrated wrestler.

Against a professional boxer who obviously has little/no ground game, even Chuck should know enough to take it to the ground and work a submission. Even BARONI knew to do that.

Not only is he an underrated wrestler... he's probably one of the top 30 wrestlers in all MMA.

He is after all a successful D-1 wrestler, who was a Cali freestyle state champ in college.

That's kindof weird how someone can be positive for years and then suddenly test negative. Never heard of it in or outside of boxing.
