Default Anyone looking for a regular MMA training partner in Chicago?

New poster here, looking for an MMA training partner (or partners) in Chicago, especially on the north side of the city, to meet up with regularly (2-3 x week) to work techniques and spar. I'm coming off 15 months of being out of the scene due to some serious injuries, so I'm looking to work back into shape and practice. My cardio's pretty good, and I've been back lifting weights for a few months, as well as sparring and rolling a bit for the past few months.

I'm not looking to compete, because I'm 36 and the wife would have a bit of a problem with that but I do want to get back into fighting shape again. I have my own gear, fairly flexible schedule, and am easygoing but serious when it comes to training. I've been doing this a long time, so I don't have any interest in paying to get trained at a gym. I'm used to working at a fairly high level, including with pros in just about every discipline, so the ideal person I'd want to meet up with would be a skilled amateur or even a pro looking for a regular training/sparring partner. I'm 5'11", 167 lbs, 16% bodyfat, so that gives an idea of my weight class; however, I've worked with everyone from below lightweight to superheavies, so that's not a problem.

My background is that I began boxing at age 6, wrestling at 8, and karate at 10. At 12, I studied with an instructor who taught jiujitsu, aikido, karate, muay thai, and kung fu for 5 years. In the late 80s and early 90s, I fought no-holds-barred matches, mostly in Europe, some out west in Colorado. I also spent 5 years in the U.S. Army, served in combat during Desert Storm (Dec '90–June '91), and fought on my post boxing and wrestling teams. I've done some coaching and training over the years, too, so I can definitely help whoever I'm working out with improve their own game, too.

Thanks and definitely look me up if this interests anyone, or just to swap talk.
