Arrow ufc lightweight division

Hermes Franca beats Sherk by uni. dec.

Penn either ko's Pulver or chokes him out.

Penn vs. Franca: close fight for 2 rounds; Penn by gogoplata
technical submission in round three. (Hermes goes to sleep.)

Pulver moves down to 145 and gets beat by that surfer looking kid at 145 who
was featured in the MSNBC doc about mma.

UFC establishes the 145 class - featherwt.

Lol Penn is not ko'ing Pulver. If Penn Ko'd Pulver, it would be freak incident similar to the Gonzaga/Cro=Cop ordeal.

Lol surfer looking kid... ummm... why are you commentating on mma again... can someone explain why he's commentating on mma?

Only if the old badass tough as nails Pulver comes back.

He's been KO'd by Gomi, TKOd by Sakurai(though that was "kinda" an early stoppage), and whooped on by Lauzon in his most recent batch of fights.

And Penn has already proven himself to have heavy hands.

I wouldn't call it a freak incident. Maybe not so likely in a straight up striking war, but if Penn mixes up his game and keeps Pulver wary of the takedown, it's really not too unbelievable that Penn could get a big shot in.

So you guys seriously believe that Pulver is tougher than matt Hughes, the same Matt Hughes who Penn choked out? The same Matt Hughes who was losing to Penn before Penn ripped his intercostals WHILE TAKING HUGHES'S BACK? Pulver is tougher than I thoguht.

Good point... I didn't think of it that way. Maybe Pulver is washed up?

I was thinking of the Pulver that went pro in boxing and kickboxing and that had some nasty hands.

How old is he?

Do you think the old Pulver will come back, or is gone for good?

Pulver's actually only 32, even though he's been in for a long time.

Pulver's repeatedly stated on TUF that this match has got him motivated again to train hard. Maybe it'll get him off WoW too.
We'll just have to wait and see. If an upcoming fight with a guy as dangerous as BJ Penn can't get you fired up though...you're probably done.

Exactly....Pulver isn't old but he's very battle worn...hes been in so many wars in and out of the ring.Pulver stated after this he's going to the WEC to fight at 145lbs.
