![]() | I was wondering if you could give me a sort of play-by-play of your fight with Kathy Brothers? What were your feelings and thoughts before, during and after the fight? Etc... I've spoken with her in person before and she seemed like a very nice woman... pretty mild mannered. I'm really curious how she is in the ring and what kinds of feelings you had about/towards her as an opponent. Thank you very much for your time. ![]() Karl

![]() | Hi Well my thoughs on the fight leading up to it was this. When I got the call from Guy Mezger asking if I wanted to fight her I was honored being asked to fight her I accepted. How the fight started was when the bell rang I came out and tried a right leg round house to her body she hit me with a right hand at almost the same exact time. I then grabed her and tried to throw her with a head lock throw and ended up in somewhat of a bad position. Kathy came around side mount and tried to key lock me but I kept my arms in and I was ok. I got my guard sorta and Kathy threw some shots but I never got hit! for some reason I cover up very well on the ground I never get hit that much once the grappling starts. Kathy passed my guard and tried to hit me again but it wasnt working. I rolled her over and was in her guard and she started going for a arm and then reached threw and grabed my ankle I believe and pushed me over and ended up armbaring me cross body, I taped and that was pretty much the fight. The official time I believe was 2:35 in the first round. Kathy is a class act! and true warrior and a great representative for the sport. The only thing I dont like is that she don't fight enough!! Someone as good as her should be fighting more often!! Would I fight her again? You bet!!!!!!!! Michelle"GrappleGirl"Farrow |
