Sweet knife Dick. Small easily concealed and just big enough to get the job done.

...one of my old trainers, Sakasem "punisher" Kwathawong, an ex-Lumpinee stadium champ...with over 400 ring fights in muay thai....
used to walk around with a knife. Most of the JKD guys I know concealed carry permits and are sometimes strapped with handguns. ... notice a trend? |

The problem I have with most weapons is the lack of versatility. You can't ALWAYS have them EVERYWHERE you go.
One of my instructors did address this praticular problem though. Because he flies (often overseas to countrie's with stricter rules than the US about what can and can't be brought with him) most weapons are completly useless. His solution: he carries a pencil with him - you know the First Grader extra big kind? Essentialy it works the same way as a yawara/kubotan, so as long as you've trained with one before, it makes a pretty effective weapon. |
