On HBO at 11pm you have undefeated Heavyweight prospect Kirk Johnson against tuff as nails contender Oleg Maskaev . It should be a real war but come nuts and guts time Johnson just doesnt have the heart to hang with the tough Russian fighting out of Brooklyn. Also on the undercard you have Derrik Jefferson who is Pit Dogs type of fighter he lost his last fight against Maskaev after the referee stopped it because he had fought for 4 rounds with a broken ankle. He is the epitomy of gameness never giving up and bitching when the ref stopped it.
On Showtime at 10 the rematch of 99's fight of the year with undefeated Texan Paulie Ayala fighting Johnny Tapia in a catch weight fight at 122 as Tapia can no longer make the 118 pound weight class where Ayala holds the WBA belt. Ayala should duplicate his performance outboxing and frustrating Tapia who is having alot of trouble making weight. Look for Tapia to fade down the stretch and Ayala will take an easy decision.
I know its a tough decision but I would watch the Showtime fight(which I usually never recomend)and record the HBO fights or just switch back and forth. As for me I am having my mom record the showtime fights and my girls parents record the HBO fights because I am whipped and no longer own a pair of balls. So I am taking her out for a night on the town.
