    Gracie Jiu Jitsu Cape Town

    Hey guys.

We've just finished our second week and things are going well out here. The weather's starting to warm up, and there's a great atmosphere in the classes.

There's now a virtual tour on the website www.graciejiujitsu.co.za - just click on 'the academy' in the menu bar.

If anyone's out this way, feel free to pop by for a roll.

    Cheers,

    Gary.

    Cape Town

    Congrats to u too, Cakegirl.

Dick, CT is awesome. Some areas of SA are pretty dodgy - I wouldn't want to live in Jo'berg for example, but then I lived in Rio for a while & it was far worse. I have friends that have lived out here all their lives & have never been touched by crime. Apartheid is also a thing of the past, and things are moving forward, but these adjustments take a little time. But I'm glad to say that it's not a shock to see a rich black guy or a poor white guy.

Mountains, Beach and Forest are all within 20 minutes, and the diversity of food & culture is great. Wouldn't wanna be anywhere else

I live in Gauteng; it’s like Detroit but much worse. I lost a friend in 2006.
The Cape Town gangsters are crazy ‘Tik’ (Methamphetamine) addicted Mofos.

Mmmmm... Heard a lot about the CT gangsters. Thankfully the Cape Flats (where they live) is a long way from here, and so is Gauteng. I'm sorry to hear about your friends, dude. There's a guy called Wikeus who runs the tapout academy in Joberg if you want to train up there - he's a nice guy & a good fighter.

Thanks, please PM the contact details to me.

P.S, do you know these people? They’re based in Durban.

No worries - you have a PM. As for Durban, I refereed some of Micahs guys in a tourney a couple of weeks ago. They were very good (one of his blue belts won his match with a sweet flying armbar).

    Best of luck
