![]() | there are 2 clubs near me that stand out at the moment, one of them is the KEYSI fighting method:- http://www.totalcombatacademy.co.uk and the other one is Kuk Sool Wun:- www.kuksoolwonglasgow.com What are peoples experiences of these two? I am stuck as in which one to choose.............thank you in advance. |

![]() | mate, im not too keen on keysi, its ok though, but i noticed they have the dynamo sombo at that place which is vadim kolganov's organisation there i think, unless theyre using the name....he is superb, a world sombo medallist and moscow state champion... id definately check that out |

![]() | it largely depends on what you want... self defence, competition, grading syllabus, a nice social interaction...someone looking for realistic self defence as a priority is going to be looking for different stuff to someone who likes to keep fit, have social contact and exercise in a way thats challenging for example... keysi uses a cover approach a lot, which is ok, they tend to rely on hammerfists quite a bit, some seemed a bit strange to me.. it doesnt suit me but that doesnt mean it wont suit you, best thing is to go down and watch the classes, see if its something you're interested in, see what the people are like....look at the quality of the students, and what theyve learnt... if only the teachers are competent then that is usually a bit worrying to me im not a big fan of kuk sool won either, but i know people who enjoy both arts and benefit from them immensely so check them out and see what you like more... |
