He's an old man and apparently is a smart old man.

It's good to retire when you're at the top of your A Game.

He wanted to fight Fedor. Fedor signed with Russian-based M-1 Mix Fight organization. Randy said now it is time to go.

Randy did it the right way. Always leave them wanting more and if you can possibly manage it leave while you're on top.

I was just wondering, y are there always so few posts in any threads that mention the UFC? I mean, during UFC PPV events I come in here and there's nothing, but when I go to wrestling sites (yes, pro-wrestling, hate me) There's a lot more posts and threads on the subjects.

I mean Randy Couture, UFC heavyweight champ just retired again and it seems like nobody even gives a damn, in a predominantly MMA heavy forum.
    What gives?

10 replies for the first day is pretty good for a post in this forum. This thread will get filled soon. It just takes people a little while to post for some reason.

I think Randy is retiring from UFC but is going to fight Fedor in M1. Theres just too much money in it for him to pass up.

hope he fights Fedor in M1.
He is a great fighter and disputably the beat of all time. The Fedor match would verify this.

Also I M1 becomes major competition to UFC, as I just can not stand that organisation and the way they are influencing MMA.

If he is retiring from fighting for really reals, props to him for going out on top of his game.

I wouldn't say nobody gives a damn. But reality is reality. The man has had a good career and he's ready to move on. If he fights Fedor in M1 then that will be good, but I'd say let him retire while he's on top. As said before, it's a good way to secure a legacy.

I agree, in a way I hope he doesn't fight Fedor. I mean it would be a great fight, but I have a feelin the natural would lose the fight. He should go out on top, but then again, no one is going to look down on him for losing to Fedor.

As a fighter I'd hate for my last fight to be a loss. You have leave with a last time as a win. I'm either way on Randy fighting Fedor. But I'd hate to see him lose. I'm not sure he would actually. I think he still has fight in him.
