Well, I've noticed a huge decline in the attendance of Arizona cagefights. I think that the promoters need to get back to the basics, and start charging people 20$ first come first serve seats for one. Who the hell wants to pay 75 dollars to watch slapfights? Hopefully Bushido will bring back some promise to Arizona, because RITC is sorry. No heelhooks, twisting of anything, no knees, elbows, headbutts? Congradulations folks, you just paid to watch a wrestling match with armbars! WHOOPEE!
The problem with other shows in Arizona, is that they don't do the proper advertising. I also notice their isn't near as many people willing to step into a closed fist fight, But people line up to fight in a slapfest, because they can't get hurt. If all you slapfighters are scared, GO TO CHURCH. Boxing is still the best entertainment, but it's just to hard to find people willing to participate in an actual fight, they'd rather wrestle.PUSSIES. The way they try and make these slap artists look like heroes is funny, y'all wanna be heroes, the first step is an NHB fight, RITC is 10 times less than old pancrase. The way I look at it, there are 2 choices: Step up to the big leagues and get knocked out, or remain in the little leagues taking cake matches. I'm gunnin 4 you, you punks, you know who you are-THE LEGEND STUSSKILLA- Last edited by stusskilla; 03-26-2001 at 04:56 PM. |

Some of what Stuss says is true. RITC doesnt charge $75 for all the seats, just the ringside, but alot of that has to do with Celebrity Theatre and their cut. But ya, it does get expensive, especially having one every month. Some of the other shows around dont do much advertising so they dont draw the crowd. This is a shame because closed fist fights are pretty damn exciting. Although there was a closed fist fight this last RITC, and it was one of the best fights of the night. But the problem is that some of these promoters just dont have the money to put up to advertise. And that also means that they dont have the money to get alot of fighters. Whereas RITC's promoter has his own school, so he is never at a loss for fighters. And every show, they ask for people to sign up for the next one. This brings in alot of inexperienced people that dont need to get paid. Bushido, brought in a good crowd for its first show, and the promoters look like they have some cash to advertise with. They also bring in higher level competition, with a few beginers thrown in. If they keep this up, they could get a good following.

Hopefully these promoters dont run out of money to throw these shows, I would have liked to have seen The Hawaiian assasin and Homer closed fist, GEEZ, when I threw some closed fist vs Rob Wooden, I was disqualified. Maybe they're starting to stretch the rules a bit. I liked RITC better at the Midnight Rodeo, they also drew a bigger crowd there. Oh well, I look forward to Bushido in April. check it out next month. The guy I'm scheduled to fight has good power, but I've seen it all, thats the good part about having fought champions at the beginning, It makes every match easier now. I'd like to throw a shout out to ray ray and big stevo-stusskilla-
