A prayer form my father.

I've not posted too much lately. There is a reason. My father right now is in intensive care for heart and pulmunar disease. The docs didn't allow me to see him, but my mother has come home crying. This is serious.

I consider myself a tough, but right now I'm scared as a little child, and helpless as such. The girl I date now didn't show much support, but maybe it's because we know each other from too short time, and we are not engaged yet.

As I've said before, I tought I've lost my faith, but in the emergency room, seeing Jesus Christ Icon sourrounded by flowers from patients relatives, I've prayed, and prayed hard. Kinda coward from my part, but sometimes you must have something to hold on if you want keep going.

So, if you wish, give a prayer for my father, he needs it.

Life hasn't been kind with him, he not deserve to die, not yet.

For my part, I swear that if I see him coming out of this I will commit to make his life the same as a wonderful diamond in a jewelry: revered and trated as well.

Thanks brothers, I consider this an extension of my family, I hug to all of you.

Meantime I keep my finger crossed, hard.

I am religious, Underdog, and I believe that even though we don't know what is truly going on after we die, there is something that gives our lives meaning in the long run. Not just ourselves. Call that a Buddhist thought if you'd like

I will say some prayers for your father, and I would like to tell you also that you are not "weak" for feeling what you are feeling right now. A weak person doesn't show his emotions, and we have been conditioned to look down on any man who shows compassion to another. This is not only ignorant, but dangerous as well.

Right now our prayers go out to you and your father. Please keep faith in the meaningfulness of life. I know it tends to seem hypocritical.

For now be with your father, and let him know you are there for him. I'm sure that no matter how hard his life has been, the health and success of his son more than makes up for it.

As far as your GF.....well personally I'd find someone with a little more compassion.

Hang in there. If you haven't told him you love him recently, I'd try to get in there and do it. As someone who lost his dad suddenly, I can tell you that you'll regret it if you don't.

First of all thanks to everyone for support, as I've said before, it's a honor to be here, in this family; I'm just returned from hospital, I brought a book for my father, I held his hand in mine, It just seem so weak, right now, and he's scared as hell, also, if nothing else there is only a thing closer than an Italian family, a Sardinian one; in this sense we take very much care for our parents, I just tried to keep my poker face telling him to not worry. While in cardiac care, he was put into oxigen therapy, and it seems that it helped, but the final word will be heard after further therapies and examinations.

I was scheduled to fight on april, but right now I canceled my partecipation, there will be hundreds of future competiotions, but only one father, and right now my place is here.

Also, the girl phoned my every two hours to have info, maybe I misunderstood her; I wish that things will get closer with her, I think she's the right one.

Keep the faith underdog. My wife's mother died unexpectedly a few years ago and it was very tough for her. I guess we all have to go through this. Hope it turns out well.

I too am struggling with my faith in christianity. But let me tell you not be afraid to reach out to the unknown. Though it may feel like you are wandering lost in the dark. Someone is waiting for you to take your hand and to help you find your way out of your void of dispair. Be strong and reach out to the people you love for support. Just reach out and do not be afraid. Love is forever and we all hope for the best. My thoughts are with you and your father.

My father is also sick and he was diagnosed with cancer today - He already went in for emergency surgery and the docs think they took care of it - he has to go back for chimo (sp) treatment in about 3 weeks - this was all very sudden as my dad was healthy just a few days ago - I know how you feel and my prayers go out to you - it is hard to understand but God puts us through these difficult times for a reason maybe to bring us back to him and stregthen and or renew our faith - don't worry God will not put anything into your life that is too much to handle keep your faith, trust in him and stay strong
