After coming back from judo last night I found my taped video of the first Extreme Fighting Championship. It's been years since I had seen it so I went through it again. What is wrong with John Perretti??
He seemed to have some discipline fetish with Mario Sperry, constantly talking about him "dominating" other fighters and "mounting like a pony"
Perretti was scaring the hell out of me LOL.

He's come under lots of heat lately, but even back then he was that kind of guy. He's no longer with UFC right?

man ...it was terrible...

Peretti walking around in vale tudo shorts ....even though he wasn't fighting...just wanted to be "in" with the fighters... When he was interviewing fighters..you could see that he was "excited"...giggling like a little girl..poking the fighters muscles and stuff....

Not only is Peretti an asshole, he's a terrible commentator. In either EFCI or EFCII he was behind the mic saying all kinds of stupid things. And then he interviews Conan after the fight and starts putting words into Conan's mouth. It went something like this:

Peretti: "So you're a heavyweight and jiu-jitsu expert"
Conan: "Yes"
P: "Since you know jiu-jitsu, you're almost unbeatable"
C: "Yes"
P: "So that makes you the world's best heavyweight fighter"
