has anyone seen the "best of abu dahbi" dvd from fightworld? would you say that the fights on there are indeed the "best of"? i haven't seen any other matches so i couldn't say, but i wasn't too impressed with some of the matches on this thing.

bs - i got it, and i gotta say, i wasn't impressed.
the best fight on the thing, by far, was jjm vs. uno. fast paced, exciting and technically sharp. ortiz vs. sato - "okay" renzo vs. trigg - "okay" the rest of the fights... *yawn* and this coming from a guy who LOVES sport jj matches... just my $.02.

I have it, and it is a RIPOFF.
Save for Machado's taking that guy to school, Tito just toying with his opponent, and the curiosity value of Royler's fight, what a piece of s*it. To put in some of those fights--especially the one that turned into a brawl early on after the head slap, but then was nothing but stalking for God-knows-how-long--is just astonishing. I'd rather watch two no-names have the fight of their lives than Renzo holding a guy in his guard for twenty minutes before--amazingly--getting the decision. Save your money. And, to boot: it's unbelievably short for a DVD, with no extras. R I P O F F

i have the ’98 ADCC tournament , edited w/narration and background music version. IT KICKS ASS!!! by far the BEST ADCC tape I’ve ever seen and I don’t know why they don’t do MORE like that one. pure action, all the stalking and lulls edited out.
btw, “that guy” that tito fought is rumina sato… a very popular fighter that is normally very aggressive… if you engage him. I think in that fight the two of them were being too respectful and cautious of each other, hence all the stalking. once again… the ’98 ADCC edited tape is the one to get if you can find it.

Karlinhos hit the nail on the head!
I have the same abu dhabi 98 "edited" and it's one of the best tapes grappling or NHB period! I watched the whole tape through without using fast motion once. I don't think that's ever happened before! Later dudes.....
