I'd say Shamrock by submission since Shamrock is more experienced as a MMA fighter than Le.
I think it will be a good fight, still. Shamrock will try to close on Le right away since Le likes to stand up; Le will put up some decent takedown defenses and keep it standing up. Le and Shamrock will go toe to toe for a bit and have some great stand up exchanges maybe Le landing a few good ones, but Shamrock will eventually get him to the ground. Le and Shamrock will mix it up on the ground, with Shamrock getting the better of him by submission.

Cung apparently used to really manhandle Shamrock at those sessions, too. Of course, that was a long time ago...
![]() I'm taking Shamrock on the ground. I give takedowns and striking to Cung, but Shamrock's takedowns actually are better for MMA. So really, this is a match between a decent striker who's also a good grappler against a good striker who's also a decent grappler. |

Cung can make alot of stand up techniques work that most can't.

Frank Shamrock quit, plain and simple.
Shamrock had no broken arm, what he had was a defective heart. He took a few more hard shots than what he planned on, got tired, and did not want to take any more in the next round. I wouldn't give a dollar and a half for Shamrock. |

Glad Le won.. Frank was running his mouth and obviously he underestimated his opponent with a so called glass chin.
