so, anyways, this came up during a drunken discussion with my friends this weekend: we all know that it's generally very bad for a guy to hit a girl without some serious justification i.e. she attacks you with a weapon or something, but what about choking a girl out? given that a well executed rear naked choke is relatively harmless to the recipient and a well executed cross could jack someone up pretty badly, should there be some stigma attached to choking out girls when, say someone cuts u off in traffic and then talks some smack, should there be anything holding u back from dealing with them, i mean, after all this is the 21st century and equal rights has come a long way....

Isn't it reassuring to see the kind of people our "equal rights" and "liberal" society produces?!

Maybe these were just drunken statements, that don't represent most Americans, but I do know these are the kind of f*cked up values that many carry in many parts of our country, including my area.

It only makes me grudgingly accept what an Englishman said to me the other day on a discussion board. America (despite its wealth) is quickly turning into one of the most disgusting societies in the history of mankind, up there with Sodom, Rome and the rest. I hope things change, but I'm not optimistic.

Here is a scenario for you, an modern day American Liner goes down like the Titanic tomorrow. Only with our modern "values" it is not women and children first like it should be, it is every man for himself, with every man throwing woman and children out of the safety boats to save his spot. And he would say this is "Equal Rights". Here is our Enlightened Liberal society, makes ya proud don't it.

This is the last time I'll be preachy on this board but WOW "choking out women", I had to comment on that, that's F*CKEN LOW, but not unusual, unfortunately.

Dear Morons,
I posted this as a drunken joke for myself and my friends, all of whom, females included found it be quite funny, but then again, huge run-ons and eccentric humor is our thing. I posted fully expecting to be flamed left and right by people who didn't quite understand that a satirical question was being asked. Nowhere in my previous post did i advocate the choking out of women, i just asked what others thoughts were on the subject, given the effects of such compared to actually hitting someone. Sure i expected to be flamed, but i must say that a lengthy pseudo-intellectual pseudo-treatise on the pseudo-decay of pseudo-western morals was totally unexpected. Furthermore comparing the united states to the decadence and debauchery of Rome and the mythical city of Sodom, is laughable. While you may (or may not) think of yourself as some sort of modern 'gladiator' (undoubtedly identifying with the movie of the same name) who fights for the entertainment of others, nothing in our society even comes close. As for liners 'going down' that only happens on those crappy mediterranean cruises and they deserve it anyways (more humor , clarified for those without). And finally i had some useful information for Ryu about joint injury and power factor training, but i don't feel like sharing it....how's that for growing up?

It was an Englishman who made the comparison between Rome and the U.S. to me, and I tried to deny it at first, but think about it, the decadence and debauchery in the U.S is more than comparable to Rome’s, in some cases it might be a little worse. I can absolutely guarantee you we have a lot more wealth than Rome did. I sometimes wonder if where I live (NY/NJ) is completely different from the rest of the U.S or if some people are just in denial?! I would have to think that most major cities would have a lot of the same characteristics as my area.

As for the hilarious nature of choking out women, I’m not quite sure where we were supposed to find the humor in that, but whatever.
