combat base guard pass

i have a question for sbg guys or anyone who knows what im talking about
im having trouble getting combat base in top guard once there im fine- i had the whole sbg series till i lost some(dont ask) help

Don't know how old this thread is? What problems are you having? Combat base is way easier to get if you have good base and posture. If the legs are open you have to put downward pressure on the hip as you move from base and posture to combat base.

Control the arms, Headbutt, Get to your feet, Play the bongos on the nuts to break the guard, Pass the legs to one side then knee on stomach. Done and Done.
