UFC 84 - Tito Ortiz -vs- Lyoto Machida
who takes it?
i say Machida easily takes this fight. Machida is gonna pick him apart on the feet and he's gonna own him on the ground. This is also Tito's last fight in the UFC. I dont think he's been focused on fighting ever since his horrible fight (draw) with Rashad Evans. |

Agreed. Tito fell victim to his own press. He seems more interested in being Jenna Jameson's boy toy than being a professional fighter. With gigs on the Apprentice and the Porn Awards on his appointment calendar, it's hard to see him being as hungry for fighting as he'll need to be for this one.

Machida has a very technical stand up game although he doesn't seem to have too much power. I think Machida will chip away at Tito with his standup.

Another good assessment. He goes the distance a lot, which means he's comfortable in a long fight. That's something we've seen Tito fail at, even when he was on top of his game. The power is lacking in Lyoto's game, but he is fast, well-rounded, and technically very diverse. My money is on Machida.

i hadnt seen that guy before. he is pretty good. reminds me a bit of a young pedro rizzo, though this guys style is a bit different.
btw, why would tito want to date jenna jameson??? she has had sex with THOUSANDS of men. wtf??? thats disgusting. he is tito ortiz, he could date much cleaner and classier celebrities than that. |
