![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1 is a kelock applied to the arm of the opponent that is supposed to be guarding your hip/legs, the other is a collar choke. if someone has you in sidecontrol, and he is on your leftside and he has head control, your left arm is free to roam around as it likes, and you can reach all the way to other side of his head/neck. that free arm can many times catch the opponents wrist and it can also be fed a collar across the opponents neck. ive been able to use both on a few different type of people successfully. the collar choke is harder to get for me, but the keylock is easy. no longer lay helpless in sidecontrol or even waste energy escaping. finish them with a devastating keylock right there. you can use them in conjunction too. the guy has you in sidecontrol, if his collar is available pull it across his throat with the hand thats not around his back and make him bring his hand up to his neck to try to defend to see if you can grab his wrist with other hand and keylock it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That's good judo DH. You're learning. Keep at it. Combination techniques work best when you can get a committed reaction. Sweeping, rolling and reversing becomes a lot easier when you can make them MOVE away from your "keylock" or collar choke...

| Registered User | I usually stay away from moves like that in side control but give this one a shot since you like'em. Trap the arm that's closest to your legs in between your legs. Use the arm that's furthest away from him to frame against his head and push it towards your legs. Throw the same side leg over his head and lock it up to get an inverted triangle. From here you can either attempt to finish it, roll him over for a mounted inverted triangle, or finish with a kimura.
