Winchester MMA - Season II (High Quality) I have no reason to doubt that within 5-10 years, martial arts programs will be commonplace in high schools across the nation, complementing traditional high school sports programs such as football, lacrosse, soccer, etc. The purpose of this MMA program is NOT to create the next [insert major MMA organization name here] champion. But rather, to simply introduce students to the martial arts, perhaps sparking in them an interest to train in martial arts outside of school, and to also give those students who do train in martial arts a channel, a means through which they can continue to do so in high school. In essence, this program is about offering the students at my high school a unique opportunity to explore the martial arts. Again, while the purpose of this program is not to create the next [insert major MMA organization name here] champion, who knows, perhaps it just may. At present, the Winchester MMA program is in need of an instructor knowledgeable in the ground game for next fall (e.g. BJJ, Judo, Sambo, submission grappling, etc.). No one in the program has any formal grappling/ground fighting experience. We learn what we can through second-hand informal teaching. If you know of anyone who may be interested in either hosting a seminar, or teaching part-time, please contact me at: ingoo.kwak@inbox.com (Winchester, MA 01890). Furthermore, if there are any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this video or the Winchester MMA program, please feel free to contact me at the above listed email address. Thanks! |

It is only a matter of time. This sport has the potential to be the greatest sport on earth. All cultures can relate to martial arts. Getting high shool kids in such programs will only pave the way.
Nice video, keep up the good work. I hope you have the greatest success in your program.

I think in some parts of the world this will be really really good. Im in England and unfortunatly I cant see it being a huge success. England has not seemed to understand that MMA is the most dominate fighting sport around yet. It still holds boxing and kickboxing as the number one sports. However I think it slowly is adopting MMA as number one and other time MMA will be as popular in England as in the US and other places. good luck to the program.
