![]() | Wow, I learn something new everyday. Iha is a joke despite the fact he has several victories in UFC competition. Including winning a rematch with Laverne Clark. And to get stronger you cut weight. That is purely amazing. You sure know your stuff Caterpillar.

| Novice | On several different forums I've seen a lot of posts that say Uno is going to completely destroy Iha. Is there something I don't know about Uno? I've only seen 2 fights of his. One being the Pulver fight and the other being a shooto fight against a japanese fighter in which he won. I just don't see it happening. Iha is way too strong and will completly dominate the tempo of the fight standing and on the ground. With the size advantage he'll be able to trade punches and take it to the ground when he wants. just my take Iha by submission!!! PatrickH |

| Novice | I guess Iha can win using his strength, but I just don't like the guy. Whenever he's fought an opponent with skills, he's lost. His third loss was a bullshit loss, even I agree with tha. He claims to be a BJJ fighter, but who did he train under? He's probably an instructional tape fighter who got his black belt by sending money to Mario Sperry for finishing his tape series

![]() | I used to train with Fabiano and he was the most intense instructor when it came to work outs. You guys sure talk out of your ass sometimes.....HA! Logic says that fighter A beats fighter B Fighter B beats fighter C, so A should be C but doesn't. it's all about match ups. Strengths and weaknesses. Fabiano tapped a black belt back in Rio when he was just a blue. He asked Crolin how he could to that since he was very surprised to be able to catch a black belt when he was just training. Crolin saw the potential Fabiano had and from his school, took him to the main school in Rio and had him spar a few guys and he was able to nail a black belt. The explanation was that although at a blue belt level, he had one move that was at the black belt level. I believe it was his arm bar from the guard that he caught the guy. Fabiano's arm bars are amazingly quick. His weakness is his triangles. Bad ankles. He can get the triangles but after he gets them, they wreck his ankle. I've got a bunch of funny stories when Fabiano was training and instructing at BHJJC. The old days, with Oleg, Bas Rutten, Marco Ruas, Pedro Rizzo..........it was an exciting time. |

| Novice | I've never seen a post until now that said Iha's jiu-jitsu skill were suspect. Sure people have questioned his standup and takedown abilities, but never his level of jiu-jitsu. In my opinion he is one of the better pure jiu-jitsu skylists fighting today. IMO he's gotten better with every fight and will be a force to be dealt with in 2001. PatrickH |
