BJ Penn won by a ridiculous margin of points... like 30-2 or sumthin.
Hawaii Nova Uniao (and former BHJJC dude) BJJ brown belt Marc Laimon won a "star-studded" absolute class, subbing Chris Brennan, and out-pointing Jeff Monsen, and Dean Lister along the way. JD Penn (BJ's bro) beat Cafe Dantas by points also. Look at http://www.grapplers.com for more.

Nova Uniao had about 40 competitors there, and placed in most of the divisions. The BJ Penn fight was more of a strategic chess game. No real excitement, unless you knew what was going on. The crowd was real quiet for most of it.
There were a lot of great fights, and the whole thing seemed pretty organized. Plus Tony Desouza (Nova Uniao) shocked the crowd when he choked out Homer "The Rock" Moore in the absolute division. All in all, it was a pretty exciting day. I'm really thinking about competing now.
