If Sivla beat Sak can Silva beat Belfort

So if Silva lost to Victor in UFC and Victor lost to Sak it would seem that Silva should logically beat Victor or not?
I'd say with the new Pride rules it would go to Silva but not until Vitor bloodies him.
I'd like to see the maturity they both have gained since UFC days, It would be a great fight.

The only reason Sak beat Belfort is because his hand got broke a minute into the fight. If Silva fought Belfort again I think Vitor would take advantage of Silvas weak chin.

Sak would school Belfort again 9x/10. Sak will beat Silva in the rematch also. He made a mistake last time, one of the rare ones, it wouldn't happen again. If Sak can take down Igor V he can take down Silva. Noone around here ever believes in luck, good or bad. It a guy wins, everyone jumps on the bandwagon and says, "oh boy, he's #1" and if he loses "i predicted that and i don't think he can hang with the top guys in his division". Doesn't a fighter's overall record ever come into consideration?

i think that since ufc brazil, silva's performance has been much more impressive than belfort's. i don't know what the outcome of a rematch would be, but that fight would definitely be a very different story.

I didn't realize Victor broke his hand in the Sak fight, in that case I feel Victor would take either Sak or Silva if they ever give Belfort the chance again, he's matured allot since then.

My feelings on this three way is that Silva will usually lose. I think with or without the new rules Sak will take Silva in the rematch. Its a prediction, not set in stone, but to me I feel that way. Sak won't try to box him, and the Igor remark Miyagi made is true. Belfort will kill Silva standing up or on the ground, however Silva has more heart. Sak and Belfort I think will be Belfort, but thats because of size advantage. Sak is too small for Vitor now, and Vitor is a much more mature fighter. I'd say Sak can take him a few times still even with the size advantage.

We never had a chance to see Victor fight Sak because of the broken hand imagine now with his increased experience and seasoned hands.
Will be my pleasure to see Victor work Sak over, both hopfully in top condition.
I question Victor's endurance at times and I can see why Sak might score wins because of it.

I find it helpful to think of MMA in terms of paper-rock-scissors. One type of fighter may be more adept at beating one type of fighter, but do more poorly against another. For instance, Sakuraba fights well against submission-grapplers, but (if I can make this judgement based soely on the Silva fight) poorly against strikers. Belfort, on the other hand, seems to do well against other strikers. So it may not be important that Sakuraba beat Vitor, and Silva beat Sakuraba, but rather how the fighters match up against one another individually.

I have no predictions about this fight. It seems like many fighters go through highs and lows - winning streaks and then several consecutive losses, then coming back strong as a better fighter and winning again. Both Silva and Belfort are on post-loss highs, and it's too hard at this point to see just how much better they are. I'd love to see Sak against another strong striker and see whether or not his loss was a fluke.

One thing the rule change did in the latest Pride was make it work for Silva's style and he took every advantage of punishing Sak.
If they fight again I don't see Silva changing his game but Sak adapting to win over Silva.
A predicted bloody one with plenty of monkey bumps to go around.

ANYONE of these guys can beat ANYONE of the others. Its been the evolution of the sport. the atheletes that compete at this level now have the ability to capitalize on any single mistake that takes place by their opponent. One may wina tad bit more often, but trying to predict it is somewhat impossible. It truly has become a matter of that given day:
Who is in better shape, who had the beter game plan, who made a mistake.
In the end, it's a matter of wanting to see the matches and rematches of these atheletes. Not one of them is head and shoulders above the others.
