Judo Gene the Joke

Gene Label is a fool and a joke. I pointed out his crap submission moves from the Grappling mag. Now this!

I agree with you Americana. HAHA.

A lot of guys with "great" grappling system appeared on the scene after the spread of bjj with this "I told you so" attitude. This includes Lebell (who's famous black belt student John Lewis showed he was indeed afraid to grapple vs. bjj against Carlson jr) and that whole catch wrestling contingent. Catch gets defended by some fans but what the hell did they ever prove? All they did was ride the bjj waves into popularity and spend money (and make money from fools) to advertise their crap. I laugh whenever I read an article by Furey about some "great" catch wrestler from the 1950's named Crotch or Farmer Jack that has a huge beer gut and Furey insists that this system was around before bjj and has nothing to do with bjj. Furey then shows bjj moves like the triangle and says that it's not a triangle because choking is illegal in catch, this is a carotid strangle, which is exactly what a triangle choke is. Moron.

You GOT to love that song, though.

Favorite line: "His eyes were quick and small."

Quick and small?

WTF?

"Aw dad, put your shirt back on, your embarassing me in front of my friends, and please, put on some pants!"

Gene would own any of you guys in a couple of seconds. Yout think stuff doesn't work because you didn't learn it that way? You are fools if you think that someone as old and as well respected as Gene doesn't know what he is doing. And Yella, if you saw Gene's daughter you wouldn't care what she said you would just sit and drool.

Actually, "Judo" is a pro-wrasslin phoney. His submissions are complete crap, just like Crotch.

How many of you guys remember when Gene LeBell "counter-challenged" Helio? If you do, you should remember his letter and have a little more respect.

I would LOVE to see these know it all, wanna-be, arm chair warriors/keyboard jockeys get on the mat for 5 minutes with Gene.

Gee, I wonder why even the friggin' MACHADOS have given Gene credit? Morons...

Why did all these non-bjj grapplers wait until just after the bjj revolution to suddenly start putting ads in magazines and claim their spot in the grappling world?

It is America. That's why you have to be damn careful. After the Royce revolution, every two bit hustler that ever put on a gi starts to "rediscover" his styles grappling and submission moves.
