colleagues in muy thai and TKD say different things so help me out TKD tells me, when i throw a roundhouse, use the SHIN b/c it's a bone and stronger. but i find striking w/ the shin makes the kick weaker and distance shorter. like swing a baseball bat and hitting with the middle when you can hit w/ the tip my partner in muy thai says, strike with the FOOT, which makes more sense to me. longer reach, more power which is the whole point of kicking. so why does TKD get all worked up stressing the "proper way" of a roundhouse? second, i notice nearly all roundhouses end up landing on people's thighs. it hurts, but i prefer targeting the side of the kneecap. is this illegal in mma or something?
