![]() ![]() | I don't know what he was thinking when he said that.... UNLESS he is thinking since the guys are already "professional" boxers they can spend one full year training nothing but the ground game in order to be somewhat ready for the MMA ring. If that is what he was thinking then he may not be too far off. Don't misunderstand me by that statement because I have 20 years experience in the martial arts and all of that has been devoted to JKD and the grappling arts. I am fully aware of the grappling game and what it takes to be proficient on the ground versus being really good on the ground. If he was able to set them up with some really good grappling coaches and they would commit to training the ground game like they train the boxing then they would be pretty good at the end of the year. This does not mean they would be Randy Coture good or anywhere near that level by any means.
