The next title defence for tito will be aginst Elvis sinosic. I think this will be a Very one sided match. I have yet to see any type of standup by elvis. I say tito Ortiz by knockout in less than 5 min.

i don't think he is a fluke but his match with Horn only displayed what we already know -- that he is a jiu jitsu guy. Had he backed Horn up with strikes and KO'd him standing we'd probably be anticipating this fight a bit more.
That being said, have we seen Tito fight a jiu jitsu fighter who goes for subs from their back before? I'm not sure and thats why I ask. If the fight goes a long time and Elvis is able to keep Tito in the guard he may catch him if Tito gets overzealous. -hounddog |

Horn was supposed to be next in line for a title shot. He lost to Elvis and evidently the UFC folks feel that with that win came a title shot. I think Elvis will be in for a surprise when he fights Tito just from a size and strength standpoint, but I am excited to see these two guys in the ring together. I like Elvis' attitude and anticipate a good fight.

Elvis actually is quite strong on his feet though he hasn't really shown it at the top level yet. He has trained in more traditional standup arts for many years including Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing with the latter a big part of his day to day training.
I think he really needs to have more confidence in himself rather than just focussing on getting it to the ground where he is more in his element. Tito won't knock Elvis out. This will go the distance and Tito will get the call if Elvis dosen't get busy. Ideally, Elvis will catch him and make him tap. Rock Ape |

Elvis last three fights Beneteau, Frank and Horn were all given to him on short notice. He faught a heavyweight Beneteau and faught him better then a BJJ blackbelt Barreto, the match ended in a Draw. He then faught Frank Shamrock on short notice and gave him a very good fight resulting in him losing a close decision. Then after "Cafe" Dantas pulled out of the UFC match with Horn, Elvis again on short notice faught Horn this time winning by submision.
Now consider that for this match he has lots of time to prepare for his oponent and unlike in the past he is training full time now so it would seem that he could perform better then most expect. |

I think this will be a good fight. But what is up with Tito's picture? Is it just me or does he look like his face is kinda puffy? I would almost say he looks 'roided except for his recent comment about 'roids.
