Wow, that fight really surprised me! I thought for sure that Pele would KO Matsui.
Cheers

Pele started well, geting a flying knee and attaining a full figure four on Matus's back, almost extending Matsui's arm once..very close...but then 1 and 2 had Matsui in pele's guard where he reallly pounded Pele
the overtime was more Pele.. alot in Matsui's guard..
A yellow card in the first round because Pele elbowed his back.
That played a huge part in it.
If the elbows were legal, it would've been over early.. but Matsuii did well. Challenged Silva afterwards...

Okay so you can kick a downed opponent in the head but you can't elbow him in the back...those rules just seem a bit inconsistent to me. But whatever...Pride still rocks.
I saw this upset coming a mile away, there are just some fights that for some reason seem like they should end this way. Almost reminds of Kerr/Fujita.

It doesn't matter much to me..." - Lennon, John
Pele used to be fighting under 170. I don't think he's as good fighting heavier guys.l
