Funny article in BlackBelt Mag!!!

Every issue of Black Belt has ridiculous stuff like this. IMO the silliest stuff I ever saw was techniques that use a belt to ward off an attacker demonstrated by hapkido master Han Woong Kim. Not only were the techniques 100% ineffective but the article claimed that these were taught to advanced black belt students! HAHAHAHA

There are some very arrogant views on this thread. Just because a technique is demonstrated differently than how you are familiar with it does not make it useless. Do all of you think that the only techniques that are effective are the few techniqes you have been shown? My, what an exclusive art you must train in! Ignorance like this is truly narrow minded. I am sorry, but I can't believe that any instructor would approve of their student spouting off like this.

Tracykarate do us all a favor and just stop posting here! No one said anything about only their techniques being superior! No one even said anything to directly degrade any particular style. This is a forum where the open discussion about practical martial arts is encouraged. People have the right to call them as they see them. If you had an ounce of understanding of what real fighting was about then it wouldn't be too hard for you to realize that a lot of the junk that gets printed in these MA mags is truly ridiculous. Why don't you at least take a look at the magazine articles before you accuse everyone of being so opinionated. Your high handed enlightened karate master BS is wearing pretty damn thin.
