Nick Diaz claims he's not subject to random drug tests as he uses "medical marijuana."

This may be a legit excuse, but he's been banned from Strikeforce and plans to switch to pro boxing.

Boxing is suffering from MMA and K1.....maybe they'll do anything to keep potentially good fighters in the sport?

I don't know where I stand on the whole medical marijuana debate, but if it has been prescribed by a doctor then it should be OK for him to fight.

Wasn't that Randy Couture's thing about using doctor-prescribed growth hormone, or am I misremembering that?

From what I've heard, Diaz can still fight in Japan without having to worry about testing, which he plans to do. I don't know if he will be tested for marijuana if he switches to boxing, but he has been training primarily in boxing these days.

Medical marijuana huh. What a bunch of BS. If the clean fighters can abstain and be successful then he should be able to also. If not give the next clean guy in line the chance to fight in the ring in place of Diaz.
